Comparing Two Different Mapping Versions

The advanced mapping comparison ability allows you to quickly and efficiently compare any
two mappings. You can view the changes on a row by row basis.

To compare two different mapping versions, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Application Menu > Data Catalog > Mapping Manager.
  2. Under the Workspace Mappings pane, expand the desired project node.
  3. Expand the Mappings node nested under the project.
  4. Select the two mapping versions.

    5. Note: Use shift keys to select the two mapping versions.

  5. Right-click the selection.
  6. Click Compare To.

    7. The Compare To page appears.

    All the changes are highlighted in red color and the report can be exported in the desired format by clicking or or .
